Harmful Chemicals Turn Ice Cream From a Treat to a Threat



On a swelteringly hot summer day, there's nothing that comes to mind better to cool things down than some old-fashioned ice cream. Just some wholesome ingredients like cream, egg yolks, a sweetener, and some vanilla extract, right?How about propylene glycol, ethyl acetate, and yellow dye #5? Seems the recipe has changed a bit since Dolly Madison's day (she served this new delight to visitors during White House functions).Many commercial ice creams today are simply chemical concoctions presented in appealing packaging designed to sell a product that is not fit for human consumption. Everything from hydrogenated oils, high fructose corn syrup, and dry milk solids are used to produce something still allowed to be called ice cream.Many ice creams are also filled with air to double the volume. Not a dangerous practice, just less fulfilling.Some pretty frightening sounding chemicals like caroxymethyl cellulose, butyraldehyde, and amyl acetate are additives in some commercial ice creams. How about some diethyl glycol -- a cheap chemical used to take the place of eggs, which is also used in anti-freeze and paint removers.Aldehyde C-17, flavoring for cherry ice cream, is an inflammable liquid used in dyes, plastics, and rubber. Piperonal, used in place of vanilla, is a lice killer. Ethyl Acetate, a pineapple flavor, can also clean leather and textiles.Unfortunately, this doesn't work out to be like any natural substances like lemon that can be both eaten and used as a powerful cleaner. Ethyl Acetate's vapor has been known to cause chronic lung, liver, and heart damage.There are quite a list of other unsavory ingredients littering many of today's most famous grocery store ice creams. Here are just some of them: Mono and diglicerides, disodium phosphate, benzyl acetate, mono stearate, propylene glycol, sodium benzoate, polysorbate 80, potassium sorbate, modified corn starch and soy lecithin.Now, just because most of these additives are on the GRAS (generally recognized as safe) list by the FDA, doesn't prove they aren't harmful and besides, the real question is: Are any of these ingredients desirable or even necessary to an originally wholesome treat? Remember, the FDA does not require ice cream makers to label all of their ingredients. Oh, boy.Ice cream can be a delicious way to get healthy fat, calcium, enzymes, vitamins, and minerals (if using real raw cream, egg yolks, and pure maple syrup) into children that are sometimes not big milk drinkers. Making your own ice cream is relatively simple with an electric ice cream maker... and the kids love to help make it!Even if you don't have the time, or desire, to make your own ice cream, reach for the best high quality ice cream you can. Look for the ones that use simple, wholesome ingredients (cream as a first ingredient is a good sign). The cost may be a bit more, but you can't beat the taste.And stop worrying about the fat content; it's some of those dubious vegetable oils you should be concerned about.

Exercise-
Do Cardio exercise like walking, jogging, cycling for 1 hour in the morning and 1/2 hour in the evening. Join a Gym to shape up your muscles.

Start-
(1) High fiber, high complex crabs like whole grains, pulses and legumes. (2) Good fats- cold pressed, kachhi Ghani ka unrefined Oil ( best are coconut, sesame, mustard oils ) & Omega-3 fatty acids ( flaxseed, fish & dry fruits ).Other fatty acid, omega-6 is abundant in vegetable oils such as corn, soybean, safflower, and sunflower oils as well as in the many processed foods made from these oils. Omega-6 fatty acids have stimulating, irritating and inflammatory effect while omega-3 fatty acids have calming and soothing effect on our body. Our bodies will loose weight when our diets contain a well-balanced ratio of these fatty acids, meaning no more than 1-2 times as much omega-6 as omega-3. Eat 30 gm FLXSEEDS daily. It has lot of Omega-3 fatty acids, anti-cancer Lignans, good proteins & antioxidants. Flaxseed creates a feeling of satiation. Furthermore, flaxseed stokes the metabolic processes in our cells & maintain required omega-3/omega-6 ratio. 8-10 glasses of warm filtered water are very essential for weight loss.

Include

Many research studies done in the last ten years support the cancer-fighting value of the foods, juices, sun exposure and relaxation Dr.Budwig recommended. DIET PROTOCOL IN DETAIL-



TO START THE DAY - About an hour before breakfast, have a glass of sauerkraut juice. It has cancer-fighting benefits and improves digestion. Homemade is best in order to get the digestive . Anything pasteurized has lost its enzymes but still offers lactic acidwhich is important and helps with digestion.
BREAKFAST - Start with a cup of green tea or herbal tea. It provides warm liquid required for the ground flaxseeds to swell properly. That's important. Then, eat your Muesli. Besides cottage cheese or quark, you could use homemade yogurt cheese or kefir cheese with cow or goat milk. Budwig FOCC[or quark]Recipe: [1] Blend 3 Tbs flaxseed oil with 6 Tbs low-fat CC or quark with a hand-held immersion electric mixer for up to a minute. If needed, add 2 Tbs milk. Avoid adding water or juices when blending FO with CC or quark.The mixture should be like rich whipped cream with no separated oil.Layer or stir in the following ingredients:[2] Grind 2 Tbs whole flaxseeds and add. Freshly ground seeds become rancid within 20 minutes, eat recipe immediately.[3] Add various fruits such as fresh [or thawed-out frozen if necessary] berries, all kinds, which contain strong cancer-fighting ellagic acid.[4] Add other fresh fruit if you like, totaling 1/2 to 1 cup of fruit.[5] If mixture is too thick, add 1 or 2 Tbs of fruit juice [e.g. dark grape, blueberry] or milk. Fruits & their juices are proven cancer fighters.[6] Add organic raw nuts such as walnuts or Brazil nuts [no peanuts] and a bit of raw honey. For variety, try vanilla, cinnamon, lemon juice, purecocoa or shredded coconut. Try various fresh organic fruits & flavorings. Afterward, you can have whole grain bread (something other than wheat, which is harder to digest) with cucumber, tomato, radishes or other raw veggies.






MID-MORNING - Freshly-pressed vegetable juice from carrots and/or beet, celery, lemon, apple as well as green vegetables - lettuces or spinach[carrot & beet juices are especially helpful to the liver & are strong cancer fighters] Vary vegetables।





SUNLIGHT - Dr. Budwig emphasized that being in sunlight is very healthful for vit.D and other benefits. Avoid burning & avoid sunscreen & sunglasses. If you feel up to having some exercise, individualize it according to your condition. Dr.Budwig wrote: "Often yoga or sport is very important, but sometimes the patient should not do this" and "I would never allow a cancer patient with metastases to jog, ride a bicycle, or to practice yoga. His body must relax."

BEFORE LUNCH - A cup of warm green or herbal tea. Use honey if desired (no sugar). Also suggested, one Tbs whole flaxseeds, freshly ground and addedto a glass of champagne, known to help digestion & absorption.

LUNCH - RAW vegetable salad with various home-made salad dressings which may include one or more Tbs FO blended with 1 or 2 Tbs organic low-fat CC plus one Tbs organic apple cider vinegar or lemon juiceand spices. Or, for sweeter dressing, try FO & grape, orange, apple or another juice. You can vary the salad dressings. The body can utilize 1 or 2 Tbs oil without cottage cheese. Avoid commercial salad dressings. Pumpkinseed oil can also be used. Experiment with spices or honey for variety. If still hungry, make steamed or boiled veggies and grains.

LUNCH DESSERT: It's IMPORTANT to have a SECOND SERVING of FOCC with varied fresh raw fruits (organic if possible). Again, use 3 Tbs FO & 6 Tbs CC with fresh fruit but NO flaxseeds. If there are problems digesting this amount of oil, begin with smaller amounts of FOCC and increase it slowly. Chew very well to optimise digestion. Predigestion starts in the mouth by mixing saliva with the foods. Try to have meals in a peaceful atmosphere. Relaxing is important.

MID-AFTERNOON - Two Tbs whole flax seeds, freshly ground, stirred into a glass of fruit juice: grape, cherry or pineapple.Chew the ground flaxseeds for better digestion. Repeat 1/2 hour later. RELAX, in sunlight if possible, TO RELIEVE STRESS. Empty the mind of worries,angers, fears. Focus on nature, music, deep breathing & positive interactions.

AFTERNOON - One Tbs whole flaxseeds, ground & added to pure blueberry or papaya juice. Both papaya & pineapple have digestive enzymes if theyare fresh. If making the juice, drink it immediately afterpreparation before the enzymes are lost by air and light.

DINNER - Vegetable soup or a variety of veggies and starch-containing foods, well spiced. Add Oleolux and nutritional yeast flakes after cooking. Nutritional yeast adds important B-vitamins which boost energy & mood.Choices of cooked starchy foods - buckwheat (JB's top choice-digests well & very nutritious), millet, brown rice, lentils, beans, peas, yams & potatoes. Add lightly cooked vegetables such as kale, tomatoes, spinach, beets, carrots, chard, cabbage, brussel sprouts, broccoli, onions, artichokes, asparagus, peppers, green beans, etc. Also, add healthful spices such as cayenne pepper, paprika, turmeric, sea salt & others. AFTER COOKING, add homemade Oleolux 'to taste,' which adds more nutrition and satiates appetite. Use also on bread.
THE FOLLOWING IS VERY IMPORTANT:
-Dr. Budwig stressed that we must AVOID UNHEALTHY FOODS such as hydrogenated oils, trans-fats, animal fats [meats, chicken, fish, eggs,] butter, cane sugar,preservatives, processed foods, pesticides and chemicals, even those in household products & cosmetics. Drink chemical-free water.
-Avoid leftovers - food should be prepared fresh and eaten soon after preparation to maximize intake of health-giving electrons & enzymes.
-Drink warm green or herbal teas, unsweetened or sweetened only with honey.
-Stress is damaging. Avoid stress-producing people & situations. Take time to relax & enjoy each day. Listen to beautiful music, laugh, do deep breathing, connect with nature, spend time with people you like. Eliminate anger and sadness.
-Dr.Budwig did not include drugs or supplements in her protocol guidelines.In her 1999 book, she spoke against them. Flax oil is known to thin the blood, be careful about using blood-thinning drugs, including aspirin. It could be dangerous. Some supplements, especially high amounts of man-made antioxidants, can seriously interfere with how well the diet works, as can some drugs and treatments such as chemo and radiation, cortisones, hormones & pain killers. She also warned against the dangers of oxygen therapy for the cancer patient & said that the cells are not ready to absorb oxygen but are healed through diet.
-The foods in the Budwig Protocol give your body what it needs daily to stop cancer. Dr. Budwig warned that you should follow the diet strictly for five years before relaxing a little, but you can never stop the healing foods for more than a few days nor can you regularly eat damaging foods or supplements. Doing so will allow cancer to return in those who are prone to this disease.
